About ECS Services The Exceptional Children Services provides support services, professional development programs, assistive technology, and the use of equipment and materials from the lending library. These services are available to educators and school personnel in member school districts. Support Services ECS provides a variety of services that include presentations of nationally known programs, and programs designed by the staff on researched-based practices. These services are provided for teachers, school faculties, and district groups in a variety of formats. The ECS staff is available to do, classroom observations, student observations and model teaching. Lending Library ECS houses a lending library that contains a variety of resources including assistive technology, books, journals, audio tapes, video tapes, and software on instruction, curriculum, behavior, discipline, safe schools, special education procedures and issues, classroom management, complex needs, and transition. Professional Development Programs The ECS staff is available to facilitate programs as part of a school's professional development in the areas of behavior, complex needs, instructional strategies, curriculum, transition, literacy, assistive technology, and special education procedural issues. Our staff not only provides training, but also seeks other presentations from outside sources that can be made available to our member school districts. |
